Adi Kailash (The Abode of Shiva) yatra on vehicle will start from June this year which was earlier closed for last two years owing to Corona pandemic.
This journey will be operated for seven days from Kathgodam/Haldwani. The speciality this time is that now the pilgrims do not have to travel on foot the whole distance. Earlier, pilgrims has to travel approx 180 km in the treacherous high Himalayan region beyond Dharchula in Pithoragarh. Now, the journey will be entirely by vehicle. With the help of Central Government, a road has been constructed up to Jolinkong and Nabidhang of China
border. Devotees will now be able to visit Adi Kailash (also small 2.5 km trek) and Om Parvat directly by vehicle from Kathgodam.
Passengers no longer have to worry about the mule and porters also the financial burden will be reduced a lot. The starting and ending point of this journey which lasts for six nights and seven days will be Kathgodam/Haldwani of Uttarakhand. During the pilgrimage, the pilgrims will be introduced to the natural beauty of Uttarakhand as well as the local culture and traditions.
Polestaradventures plans to visit famous and mythological temples and shrines of Kumaon during the pilgrimage. During Yatra famous tourist places like Bhimtal, Neem Karauli Dham, Chitai Golu Temple, Famous Jageshwar Dham, Parvati Mukut, Brahma Parvat, Sheshnag Parvat, Shiva Temple, Parvati Sarovar, Gauri Kund, Pandav Fort, Kunti Parvat, Pandav Mountains, Vyas Gufa etc. will also be covered.
